Tennis for the next 20 functional years.
Topball's tennis school camps serve players aged 15–18. This is our separate, fast-growing adult track: racket sport as the most complete longevity tool we know — muscle after 50, cognitive performance, metabolic health and the independence that follows — inside a health-focused resort built for recovery, sunshine and good food. Year-round in Cebu, with seasonal access to our Oxford, Sussex and Gibraltar programmes.
The four pillars we train
Aging well is not one number on one chart. Our coaching targets the four systems that decide how you live at 70 — and racket sport trains all of them at once.
Muscle after 50
From our mid-40s we lose muscle and bone density every year unless we actively train against it. Tennis is loaded, multi-directional resistance work — legs, hips, core and grip — with the coach controlling the dose so you build strength without breaking down.
Cognitive performance
Racket sports demand split-second reading, anticipation and decision-making under time pressure. Regular play is associated in the research literature with sharper executive function — the kind of mental workout a gym machine never gives you.
Metabolic health
A rally-based session is natural interval training: short bursts, brief recoveries, repeated. That pattern is strongly associated with better cardiovascular and metabolic markers across large cohort studies.
Independence
Balance, agility, reaction speed and grip strength are the abilities that keep you living on your own terms. Every session trains them directly — the goal is not a trophy, it is another 20 years of doing everything you want to do.
Topball is a tennis school, not a medical clinic. We reference established exercise science and cohort research; we make no clinical claims and guests with cardiac or orthopaedic histories should clear participation with their doctor.
Why racket sports beat everything else
Large cohort studies have repeatedly associated regular racket-sport play with the strongest all-cause longevity benefits of any leisure activity studied — likely because it combines interval cardio, loaded movement, reaction work and social connection in a single session.
A gym gives you one pillar at a time. A rally gives you all four in 90 minutes: you sprint, you load, you anticipate, you laugh. And unlike a gym programme, you will actually still be doing it in ten years — because it is a sport, with partners, scoreboards and a reason to come back.
The dose is individual. As a PTR professional since 2010, James Corden-Lloyd sets intensity from your screening data — not from a template.

A health-focused environment, not a boot camp
Training only works if the other 23 hours support it. Asmara Resort in Cebu City was chosen for exactly that: a walkable, quiet campus where recovery is easy.
- Year-round sunshine
Vitamin D, outdoor courts and warm-air training in every month — no cancelled sessions, no winter shutdown.
- Fresh, unhurried food
Resort cuisine built around fresh produce and protein — fuelling muscle retention, not inflammation.
- Sleep & recovery built in
Boutique on-site rooms, spa sessions on longer stays, and rest days programmed as deliberately as court days.
- Low-stress campus
Palm gardens, walkable grounds and no traffic — cortisol stays low and conversations happen on foot between sessions.
- Coaching that explains
Every session is narrated in clear English — you learn the why, so you can self-coach for life.
- A like-minded cohort
You train alongside other 45–65 guests who chose capability over decline — the social pillar of longevity, included.
How a longevity week is structured
Five session types rotate through your stay, so every pillar is trained and recovery is never an afterthought.
- Session 1Movement & capacity
Screening, mobility and footwork — where you are today becomes the baseline every future session is measured against.
- Session 2Strength through strokes
Technique rebuilt for a 45–65 body: leverage over power, spacing over speed, grips and patterns that protect shoulders, elbows and knees.
- Session 3Metabolic play
Rally-based interval work with heart-rate-informed rest ratios. You work in the zone that drives adaptation, not exhaustion.
- Session 4Reaction & cognition
Reaction drills, tactical games and decision-making under pressure — the cognitive half of longevity training.
- Session 5Independent play
Doubles, scoring and match routines so you leave able to organise, play and self-coach — with a written home programme to keep the gains between visits.
Four locations, one planning focus: adults 45–65
Our 15–18 junior camps and these adult longevity retreats run as separate tracks — different guests, different weeks, the same four locations. Choose the season and the setting that suits your year.
Cebu, Philippines
The flagship longevity campus at Asmara Resort — sunshine, recovery and the full four-pillar programme in every month.
Oxford, England
Clay and grass courts in the university city — a summer longevity block timed with the British season.
Sussex, England
Our English countryside campus — tennis-led weeks in a calm, health-focused setting.
Gibraltar
Tennis and padel under the Rock — warm autumn training with a Mediterranean easy-breeze climate.
Who this is for
The returning player
You played at school or university and want to come back properly — with technique adapted to the body you have now, not the one you had at 25.
The high-performer who never played
You have run businesses and marathons but never held a racket. You want one sport that trains body and brain together, and a coach who takes a beginner seriously.
The masters competitor
You already play leagues or veterans events and want targeted work — movement efficiency, injury-proofing, doubles tactics and recovery — to keep winning for another decade.
Your week at the Cebu campus
Longevity guests book the same retreat weeks as the school — Peak Week, the Baseline Weekend or the Grand Slam Week — as a dedicated adult track, with the programme shaped for the four pillars. Accommodation at Asmara Resort is included in every course.

Questions we're often asked
I'm 58 and haven't exercised seriously in years. Is this safe for me?
Day one starts with screening and movement quality, not intensity. Sessions are dosed to your capacity, rest ratios are deliberate, and every progression is earned. If you have a cardiac or orthopaedic history, we ask you to clear it with your doctor first — then we build around it.
Is this a medical programme?
No. Topball is a tennis school, not a clinic. We apply well-established training principles — progressive loading, interval work, cognitive challenge — inside a health-focused environment. We measure what sport can influence: movement, strength, stamina, reaction and confidence.
Are these the same camps as the junior programmes?
No. Topball's core camps serve players aged 15–18. The longevity retreats are a separate adult track, planned around the 45–65 functional-aging focus — different weeks, different groups, and no juniors on your court.
How long should I stay?
Most longevity guests choose Peak Week or the Grand Slam Week. The written home programme means a single week creates habits that last — and many return each year to re-measure and progress.
